About

My Story

Hello, I’m Marcus Eley, a professional classical clarinetist with a passion for bringing  underrepresented composers to the forefront of classical music. I’ve had the honor of performing as a soloist with symphony orchestras and recitals across major cities both in the U. S. and abroad.

GRATITUDE

I am deeply grateful to have received support from such esteemed organizations throughout my journey as an artist. The Puffin Foundation and The Jazz Foundation of America have provided not only resources but also affirmation that the work I am creating matters. Earlier in my career, the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and the Durfee Foundation offered me the encouragement and means to complete projects that might have otherwise remained only ideas. Each of these grants and awards has been a reminder that art flourishes through community, trust, and belief in possibility. I carry that support with me into every performance and creation, with profound gratitude.

Marcus Eley’s recordings highlight works by under-represented composers, blending classical artistry with modern resonance.
